Berry and husband seek help amid rumours of affairsHalle Berry has admitted seeking therapy with her husband after their relationship faced a "staggering crisis".
The Die Another Day star said the trouble began around the time she won her historic Oscar in March.
She told Ess
ence magazine: "The truth is that during the period of my most significant public success - the Academy Awards - my private life faced a staggering crisis."Berry, 34, said she decided to talk about the difficulties she and musician husband Eric Benet are experiencing to help other women who are walking through the same "emotional maze".
"All romantic relationships suffer crisis; no woman can claim otherwise," she said.
Reports that Benet was cheating on her had violated their privacy, she said.
But, as adults, they could "take it".
She said the decision to go to psychotherapy together had brought her closer to 35-year-old Benet, whom she married in January 2001.
"Eric is the first man I've been with who has the courage to take this journey with me.
"He has been fearless, and I love him all the more for it."
Halle was left partially deaf after a beating from a former boyfriend, who she has never named.
