The character is a sexy and streetwise secret agent who leaves Pierce Brosnan's Bond both shaken and stirred in Die Another Day.
Movie-makers MGM are so confident of a hit that they are planning a whole string of Jinx movies.
Halle has already made history once this year, as the first black woman to win an Oscar for best actress.
