It seems producers feared they could prove offensive and spark a string of complaints, according to Austrian magazine News.
The 28-year-old actress complained: "I wanted my nipples to be there to see."
She also explained why she is sporting smaller breasts as Lara Croft in the second Tomb Raider film. "Last time I took too much protein powder. That gave me lots of curves. This time I ate normally and therefore Lara is slimmer and sexier."
