A smooth and not too serious thriller about a gang war and the gunman (Richard Harris) who is called in to end it. Ann Turkel and Kathrine Baumann are pretty newcomers with splendidly impressive figures, there are some good shoot-ups for the undemanding and a personable villain (Chuck Connors) with a hook hand - and other attachments - to be bested. It moves, it amuses and it entertains. Director John Frankenheimer steers the mayhem along like a well-oiled and happily-tuned motor.
