This intriguing story is not always as fascinating as its idea promises, although there is consolation in Joseph Jennings' evocative settings and the richness and variety of Jack Elliott's background score. The plot deals with events leading up to America's great stock market crash of 1929, but Stanley R Greenberg's script tends to be episodic and uninvolving, despite an interesting cast headed by Richard Crenna, Robert Vaughn and Robert Hays, who sprang to fame as the pilot in the Airplane comedy films.
