The characters in this ingenious horror film do such silly things that your sympathies may well be with the mysterious black ship that seems to be trying to bump them off with a lifeforce of its own. A star studded cast seems to do its best to manoeuvre its members into situations least likely to ensure their survival. It's a familiar Hollywood horror framework, although in this case both the film and its director (Alvin Rakoff) are Canadian.
