A high-class trilogy of macabre tales, directed by Frenchman Julien Duvivier during his enforced wartime stay in Hollywood. The choicest of the trio involves Edward G Robinson as an attorney who scoffs at palmist Thomas Mitchell's prediction that the attorney's about to commit a murder. It's based on Oscar Wilde's classic story Lord Arthur Savile's Crime.
