The steel of the title presumably refers to the six-shooters wielded so effectively by John Wayne in this early B-movie adventure from his cowboy canon. Wayne's real-life buddy, Yakima Canutt, plays the Polka Dot Bandit, as well as performing some great action stunts on camera. On the whole, though, this one, pards, is pretty ropy.
