The former Playboy bunnygirl and face of New York new wavers Blondie has also cut out a convincing career as an actress.
Adopted at three months old, Harry was raised in New Jersey and made her name for herself in the 60s as a Playboy bunny and part of Andy Warhol's circle.
Her professional singing career started in 1968 with folk band Wind In The Willows before she hooked up with Chris Stein.
Together they created Blondie and went on to have hits on both sides of the Atlantic with Heart of Glass, Denis, Union City Blue and Marie.
Her first acting appearance as an uncredited role in the Don Murray crime thriller Deadly Hero in 1976.
However, she really came to prominence in David Cronenberg's Videodrome, which she followed with John Waters' Hairspray and also appeared in the police drama Cop Land.
Subsequent appearances include Six Ways to Sunday with Adrien Brody, Scott Kalvert's Deuces Wild and Spun with Mickey Rourke.
Recent work has included Isabel Coixet's My Life Without Me and Craig Singer's A Good Night To Die.
