Charles Martin Smith stars as a real-life researcher who goes to the Arctic and ends up forming an affinity with two white wolves and an elderly Eskimo and his adopted son. A popular, good-looking if slow-moving Disney family adventure, with all its more interesting parts in the second half, including a charming finale.
