John Stockwell

Actor-turned-director Stockwell struck gold with the affecting crazy/beautiful starring Kirsten Dunst.
A graduate of New York University's film-making programme, he began as an actor in movies including Christine, Top Gun and Billionaire Boys Club.
His first directorial success was the docu-drama Breast Men, starring David Schwimmer, about the inventors of silicone breast implants.
Next came Cheaters, starring Jeff Daniels, which told of the Chicago English teacher who persuaded his pupils to cheat.
As a writer he penned the underrated Rock Star and went on to direct the amiable surf movie Blue Crush with Kate Bosworth.
Upcoming projects include the thriller I Would Die For You.
