Lynn Redgrave

Born: 8th March 1943
Where: London

Lynn left her training at London's Central School and made her professional debut in 1962 in a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Royal Court Theatre.

The actress went on to make her West End debut with The Tulip Tree. Then came her invitation to join The National Theatre for a season at The Old Vic.

Productions such as Love for Love and Much Ado about Nothing kept her busy for the next four years.

Lynn's next big screen break came with the title role in 1966 with Georgy Girl. This production earnt her the New York Critics Award, the Golden Girl and an Oscar nomination.

In the winter of 1991 Lynn starred with Stewart Granger and Ricardo Montalban in her first Hollywood production with Don Juan in Hell.

With her sister Vanessa playing the role of Olga, Lynn returned to the Queen's Theatre playing Masha in Three Sisters.

Her outstanding film career has included Bill Condon's Gods and Monsters in 1998 which won Lynn a Golden Globe Award.
