Another exploration of that popular theme for late Eighties films, Holocaust guilt. Gorgeously shot in alternate colour and black and white sequences, the film parallels a film-maker's experiences in 1988 with those of a fellow film director during World War Two. Tony Curtis gives one of his strongest performances in years in the leading role, but it's disappointing that matters are left so unresolved at the end.
