In 1991 Ron made a cameo appearance in Oliver Stone's controversial feature docudrama, JFK, and his first major role soon followed. He was cast in Woody Allen's Husbands and Wives.
Four years later Ron acted in his first leading role in features, The Substance of Fire, recreating an award-winning stage role.
Ron played a district attorney in award winning L.A. Confidential, and in 2000 he was cast as Giovanni Ribisi's father in Boiler Room.
More recently Ron starred with Jim Carrey in The Majestic, and supported Kevin Costner in Dragonfly.
