An ageing trucker decides to make one last run in this amusing and fast-moving road movie. Henry Fonda is the unlikely hero, who takes his old flame Eileen Brennan along for the ride. The truck was repossessed by the finance company before wily old Henry stole it back, which means the authorities are on his tail. Brennan, the madam of a brothel, also has legal problems so she packs her six girls in the truck too. All this creates media attention and a fittingly explosive climax. Good fun to watch and Fonda, wearing what looks like a well-worn check shirt, obviously enjoyed making it. Look out for Robert (Freddy Krueger) Englund and Oscar-winning Susan Sarandon in early roles.
