Hilarious in spots, this is one of the better of chubby Canadian comedian John Candy's earlier comedies, even though it's more a collection of anecdotes on how not to take the family on holiday than a coherent story.

Candy's outfits are almost as amusing as his mishaps, which culminate in a riotous race at the local regatta.
