A light hearted thriller that provided gainful employment for James Brolin and Lisa Hartman during their summer holiday break from the long-running series Hotel and Knots Landing. She's a shapely detective from Wyoming who is investigating the killing of a respectable local small town girl, who has links with prostitution. He's the boring, laid back desk cop assigned to help her in Beverly Hills and supposed to keep her out of everyone's hair in the police department. The script runs along tried and tested lines and sorely misses the maverick influence of Eddie Murphy, who proved a far more interesting fish out of water in Beverly Hills.
