Prototype

Sci-fi thriller starring Christopher Plummer and David Morse. A scientist kidnaps the humanoid robot he has created when the military reprogramme it as a fighting machine.

A modest reworking of the 'Frankenstein' story from ace TV writers Richard Levinson and William Link, creators of 'Columbo' among a host of TV movie thrillers and mystery detective stories. Only the casting of 'St Elsewhere' series regular David Morse as the humanoid robot creation of scientist Christopher Plummer is a bit of a let-down. He's just a little too inanimate and expressionless to evoke any sympathy.
