This American actor and director hails from a showbiz family and as made a name for himself as a reliable supporting cast member and increasingly as a leading man.
His big screen career began in 1970 with a part in Husbands, and throughout the 70's Nick played minor roles in minor movies.
The 80's were busy times for Nick. He appeared in a string of movies, and was becoming more successful, primarily in the world of B-Movies.
It was in 1997 when Nick was cast in Face/Off, which starred John Travolta and Nicolas Cage, that he felt he'd made his way in Hollywood.
By this time he had directed Unhook The Stars, which starred Marisa Tomei and Gerard Depardieu, and in 2001 Nick wrote the screenplay for the moody biopic Blow, starring Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz.
Minor roles in Panic and The Astronaut's Wife and a place behind the lens in John Q, Denzel Washington's drama, have placed Nick on the top rung of Hollywood's 'most wanted' list.
