When the Japanese invade the Philippines during World War Two, ill-assorted folk are stranded and must escape in an old bus. The group in this run-of-the-mill war movie with a welcome old-time cast includes local kids, a nurse (Katharine Ross), an American soldier (Doug McClure) and a priest (Ricardo Montalban).
