Sandra Dee distincty outclassed by a veteran cast which includes Rosalind Russell, Brian Aherne and Reginald Owen; script started out as a French boulevard stage comedy, adapted for Broadway by Ruth Gordon and then for Hollywood by Samuel Taylor of Sabrina Fair. The result, thought one critic, was roughly halfway between Auntie Mame and King Lear.
