Ostensibly a satire on the rougher end of the Los Angeles music business, 'The Adventures of Ford Fairlane' settles for much easier options: a gallery of strung-out grotesques, a handful of fleeting cameos by minor music celebrities (Motley Crue's Vince Neil, rapper Tone-Loc), and a protagonist out of Happy Days only 'writ dirty'.
