Like most Republic vehicles of the time, this odd mixture of Nazis and frontier pioneers has a cheap look, in spite of the efforts of Bernard Vorhaus, a German director who made numerous films in Britain before going to Hollywood where his career was ended in the early Fifties by the communist witch-hunts.
