Fizzy Dudley Moore, whose Hollywood films have scaled the heights and plumbed the depths, is firing on all cylinders in this fast-moving farce. He's teamed up with director Blake Edwards, whose film '10' made Moore a star, and this is just the kind of broad, slightly wacky comedy that Edwards does so well. Dud plays Rob, who longs to be a dad. But wife Micki (Ann Reinking) is an ambitious lawyer, with no time for family life. Then he meets Maude (Amy Irving), a cellist, and they have an affair. When she tells him she is pregnant, Rob marries her, even though he's still married to Micki - who also proves to be pregnant! This, as you can see, is a recipe for complete chaos, as Rob tries to keep his two lives separate. Not easy when both ladies have the same gynaecologist! A furiously-paced comedy that remains fun, even when it's petering out a bit towards the end.
