This Latina actress first gained attention for her portrayal of Spike Lee's fast-talking, no-nonsense girlfriend in 1989's Do the Right Thing.
She began her career as a featured dancer on Soul Train, moving on to choreograph numbers for artists like Bobby Brown and Diana Ross.
In the hit comedy feature White Men Can't Jump, Rosie played Woody Harrelson's girlfriend, whose life's ambition is to appear on the TV game show Jeopardy.
She appeared in Night on Earth, then in 1993, she took a role as a plane-crash survivor in Peter Weir's Fearless, receiving good reviews and an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
She followed with a turn as Nicolas Cage's wife in It Could Happen to You and as a dancer in Somebody to Love.
In 1998 Rosie co-produced and starred in The 24 Hour Woman, then provided a character voice for the animated Road to El Dorado, before making her official NYC stage acting debut in Mention of Salvador Dali Makes Me Hot.
In 2001, Rosie appeared in Human Nature, starred opposite John Leguizamo in King of the Jungle, and took a role in Riding In Cars With Boys which starred Drew Barrymore and Brittany Murphy.
