Another Woody Allen film that will delight his fans and further irritate those who can't stand his work. Mia Farrow has the Woody-type role (and the Woody-type dialogue) as the mousy, well-to-do housewife who starts a whole new cycle in her life when she suddenly experiences an attraction to another man (Joe Mantegna) and visits Dr Yang (a last screen role for character actor Keye Luke), discovering his marvellous potions, one of which can make her invisible. Using her new-found 'gift', she soon finds out what a slimebag her husband (William Hurt) is - which the rest of us could see from the start - and discovers herself in the process. All this is told in typical Allen style, with some brilliantly witty lines (though not enough), much overlapping dialogue (monotonous after a while) and a plot that's fun but gets a bit too silly towards the end, even if its fable-like qualities see it through. Farrow is excellent.
