After viewing a 16mm print of this film I was surprised to see one of the World Trade Centers in mid-construction. Then there is a scene of a small Lear-like jet crashing into Manhattan. Did the 9/11 terrorist see this film? Did they get the idea from this film? One wonders. The film isn't great. But Hoffman is, as an aging songwriter going through a mid-life crisis. Good acting from all, with a balance of comedy and drama. A must-see on a rainy day!
