As a comedy, this doesn't even hit the dartboard. Michael Caine and Roger Moore play unscrupulous scientists and their doubles, two British con men. The resultant chase between the four over a nuclear fusion formula for producing cheap energy is handled heavily by director Michael Winner - but the chief culprit is the script, something without which Moore in particular can't operate. Some of it is nearly passable, but not quite, and Caine's American accent as the 'bad' double is atrocious. Guest appearances by Jenny Seagrove, John Cleese, Alexandra Pigg and Patsy Kensit, but all to little avail in this numbingly unfunny and occasionally unpalatable experience. Co-leading lady Deborah Barrymore is Moore's real-life daughter.
