Accomplished stage actor Martin Donovan has made his way into film and is appearing in better roles with each passing year.
His feature acting debut came in 1984 in Rick King's Hard Choices, and he spent the rest of the 80s on stage and in small parts on TV.
Martin worked on various films in the 90s, including Quick and The Portrait of a Lady, which was his breakthrough role.
In 1998 he co-starred in The Opposite of Sex and two years later he was cast as Tom Buchanan in the TV movie adaptation of The Great Gatsby.
More TV roles followed, and in 2002 he played Hap Eckhart in the thriller Insomnia.
Most recently Martin starred in the romantic comedy feature Pipe Dreams.
