A fast-paced comedy-thriller that gains quite a lot of mileage from the blind fumblings of a hapless New Jersey cop (`The A-Team's Dirk Benedict) exiled to Hawaii. And like most mystery stories, it's not the solution so much as the getting there that counts. Helping the action along are `Dynasty''s Catherine Oxenberg as a sultry suspect, Michelle Phillips as a sultry sister, Kim Zimmer as a sultry wife, and Sydney Walsh as the private-eye's sultry girl Friday. It's all mildly amusing for quite a while, but TV-style formula situations take control long before the end.
