A well-received and surprisingly convincing story about a middle-aged ex-rock star trying to come to terms with obscurity when his teenage son seems set for stardom. It's made by the team who made 'Boulevarde of Broken Dreams' in 1988 and features two of the same actors: John Waters who plays the anguished old rocker and Kim Gyngell as a former musician now deep into heroin and crime. The message of the movie is "This is the only business in the world where they penalise you for long service. "
