Dudley Moore teamed with Eddie Murphy sounds a mouth-watering prospect, but in fact the Murphy sequences were added on a later date to try and save a not-very-funny slapstick comedy, with Dudley as an engineer working on America's new supertank who gets involved with industrial spies. Eddie comes in as the luckless lieutenant who has to field-test the new weapon and manages to get lost behind enemy lines in the middle of a war. One of Dud's duds which not even Murphy at his most strident and frenetic can rescue. Even the Cavalry might have lost this battle.
