Attempting a 40-foot leap while on location in Yugoslavia, martial arts star Jackie Chan smashed his head on a rock and had to have surgery to take a piece of skull out of his brain and save his life. Just wait to the end credits to see the horrifying accident in gory close-up, blood and all. The film itself is a mélange of bad writing and worse acting. The best sequences have Jackie confronted with five black karate women, complete with stilettoes and black leather basques, who proceed to attack the most vulnerable piece of his anatomy, and the wordless opening set piece with Chan outwitting an African tribe in the middle of a religious ceremony to steal a precious sword. Among his co-stars, Lola Forner was 1980's Miss Spain, and his sidekick is played by Hong Kong pop singer Alan Tam.
