Two young friends, Jim and Wes, buy a barn and discover a vintage plane stored inside. They get the aircraft running and learn to fly it, with the help of Gus, an old stunt pilot. A lightweight Boys Own Paper-style adventure typical of the Disney studio style. Having said that, the story moves along at quite a pace and there are enough twists to the plot to stop things becoming too predictable. Veteran Hollywood character star James Whitmore plays Gus, and his son directed the picture.
