A plodding romantic comedy that revolves round a game show that seems to be a distant American cousin to Blind Date. Suzanne Pleshette and Gil Gerard are personable enough as the couple who feign romance to collect $1million, then find the show's producer makes up the rules as she goes along. But they're too sophisticated for this very unpretentious material, which wisely sets itself no lofty satirical aims. Mary Kay Place is on good form as the producer, but the intended laughs never materialise, leaving only embarrassments to take their place.
