'Disease-of-the-week' drama centring on a three-year-old autistic boy who is being brought up by Jason O'Malley (who also co-produced and wrote the picture). His wife and the boy's mother Sherilyn Fenn gets her top off during the opening credits but departs pretty near the start. The tears are then left to Brooke Shields (looking lovely) to generate as the student doctor who tries to bring the child out of its shell. Meanwhile, she is falling in love with dad who, incidentally, is a bit of a bad lot and has terrible undewrworld connections. Full of schmaltz and if you here us say that Tony Franciosa steals the acting thunder, you'll realise the lack of quality of the entire piece.
