Faye Dunaway is the witness to a murder in this somewhat padded thriller. The plot twists and turns don't seem to have much point other than to extend an essentially simple tale to justify its feature length. Miss Dunaway is pretty much the whole show, although David Rasche takes his role as the sheriff seriously after spoofing cops in the Sledge Hammer television comedy.
