Lean On Me draws on the strenghts within encouragement, criticism and faith, in people, situations and relationships. Freeman bullies, cajoles and whips his school into a decent standard. He pulls them together making them believe ultimately in themselves. This is a gripping testament to the power of human belief. 'Believe in yourself and you can do anything' seems to be the underlying motif.
