Not even Perry Mason would believe the contrived and ridiculous plot of this courtroom drama which has a criminal lawyer defending her own husband for the murder of his mistress. The authorities appear to only have circumstantial evidence but the husband's original lawyer is inept. So, despite the fact that she is steaming about his bit on the side, the wife decides to ride in on a white charger for the sake of their children. There are several other suspects, well mapped out, and more ridiculous plot twists than a loop-the-loop rollercoaster, but stars Judith Light and Michael Ontkean are on a hiding to nothing. We'd believe in talking white rabbits before this sorry show.
