This fairly poor follow-up to A Man Called Horse and The Return of a Man Called Horse trades heavily on the success of its two predecessors. In fact, poor old Horse (Richard Harris) doesn't triumph at all, as he dies within the first half-hour and it's left to his son Koda (Michael Beck) to do what triumphing there is. It all seems so much more improbable than the other two films, with the Sioux Indians defeating the cavalry with bows and arrows. As mindless adventure, it scrapes by, but as a worthwhile end to the trilogy this horse is a non-starter. (TV Times)
