This quite enjoyable if very nasty chiller about a girl who finds an ancient Aztec cloak that has a Jekyll-and-Hyde effect on its wearer keeps the thrills and spills coming, even if it all makes progressively less sense. The girl, Amy (Madchen Amick), finds the cloak in an old trunk but her greedy cousin Gloria (Daisy Hall) also wants it. To say more would be to spoil the plot. And despite its fairly obvious faults, this works rather well as entertainment for those not faint of heart or stomach, thanks to vigorous direction by horror expert Tobe Hooper, and the sinister presence of Anthony Perkins as co-star.
