One of numerous Danielle Steel novels to be made into telefilms, this romance about a career-minded single mother (Cheryl Ladd) and a widower (Michael Nouri) at least travels fast along its familiar route (and probably even faster in this abridged version). The people in it might be more sympathetic, though, if the script weren't forced to cover so much ground in so short a time. Even so, Ladd and Nouri give a bit more shading to their characters than you might expect.
