Betty White (Rose in The Golden Girls) is a workaholic widow with no social life who one day is told by her doctor that she only has six months to live. On impulse, she flies off to a Mexican resort for a holiday - the first she's had for years. There she meets handsome widower Lloyd (Leslie Nielsen) and falls in love. But then she discovers her doctor's diagnosis was wrong... It's always mildly disappointing to see Neilsen when he's not being off-the-wall funny - as in The Naked Gun - and so it proves here. Although there are light moments, this isn't an out-and-out comedy, so will fall short of expectations for fans of both stars.
