Richard Basehart goes up in the world from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea to about 200 feet under Hong Kong in search of a deadly bomb in this rather daft and lacklustre thriller. He's a scientist heading a team searching for the device which will release a deadly nerve gas, planted by a madman. Well-photographed location shots of Hong Kong and a big-screen straight dramatic role for Leslie (The Naked Gun) Nielsen, long before he became a comedy star, are the only two plus points in an otherwise very indifferent film. More like Voyage to the Bottom of the Script.
