At least the title is apt, as singers Roy Clark and Mel Tillis face an uphill battle for laughs in this witless chase comedy. Laurel and Hardy they aren't, and, despite the assistance of Burt Reynolds, Trish Van Devere, Frank Gorshin, Glen Campbell, Burl Ives and others along the way, the doomed enterprise sinks almost as fast as the Titanic.
