About as exciting as a lobotomy, this serio-comic look at the trials and tribulations of being a first year medical student sets out to be another The Paper Chase. But its a cut below that with cardboard cutout characters. Originally titled Grossed Anatomy for its US cinema release, its central problem is the main character, played by Matthew Modine. He's frequently described as being so smart he can get by on minimal studying, but there's little evidence of his intelligence in the anemic script. This is one comedy in need of resuscitation.
