A nerdy zero bullied by jock heroes, Lucas is friendly towards a new girl only to watch her become popular and out of his league.

Using his wits against the bullies' fists, and joining the football team, Lucas tries to become the kind of person she's interested in - but he's in for a lot of heartache...and bodyache.
