More than a decade ago, Treat Williams' career appeared to be on a fast track to stardom, following his critically acclaimed role in Prince of the City. But, since then, it has been in the doldrums. Starring roles in TV movies have alternated with co-starring roles in bigger-budgeted cinema films. This real-life drama, like Williams' latter-day career, is a slow mover as it details the story of a famous Los Angeles-based lawyer in 1919 and his daughter. But the acting is first-rate. A real Treat, in fact.
