Appallingly and ludicrously gory, this 'horror' compendium fails completely to scare. 'Tedium runs rampant' said the Variety critic and he was right: directing brothers Ken and Jim Wheat have made some good movies, but, despite (or perhaps because of) such elements as rampaging Dobermans, decapitations, impalings, burnings, axe-murders and hatchet-wielding skeletons, this OTT bloodbath isn't one of them.
