Skilfully scripted by Anna Sandor and powerfully acted by Kyra Sedgwick and Amanda Plummer, this is a poignant portrait of two Jewish girls parted in childhood - one to labour in Hitler's concentration camps, the other to be smuggled to America where she becomes a fashion buyer. Their problems in confronting an eventual reunion form the nub of this sometimes tough-to-watch but worthwhile story.
